Recently BC Hydro, Powertech Labs Inc., Coast to Coast Experiences, BorgWarner, and Fermata Energy tested Canada's first vehicle-to-grid project in Surrey. They connected a BorgWarner 60-kilowatt charger to a Lion Electric school bus from Lynch Bus Lines, marking the debut of a bidirectional charging hub in British Columbia which was enough power to sustain 24 electrically heated homes for nearly two hours! BorgWarner’s cutting-edge V2G chargers boost grid resilience and revenue for electric fleets and are charging the world forward into a cleaner, more energy efficient future.
