Pardee is the first hospital in the Carolinas to be accredited by the International Organization for Standardization for quality healthcare standards. Today, Pardee has grown to meet the needs of the community, including a comprehensive primary care and specialist physician network, cancer center, four urgent care locations, and six orthopedic clinics. In honor of #HospitalWeek, board of directors chair Tammy Albrecht shares her thoughts on the value of UNC Health Pardee in our community: "Often, it’s the outdoor opportunities, the variety of unique and high quality local food and beverage options, and our charming small towns that draw folks, from young families to retirees, to visit Henderson County. For many, those visits turn into a return trip to tour homes, investigate schools or conduct a job search as they seek to relocate and call the area “home.” But what really ensures that not only the family or retiree –but the new business or industry – will relocate here, is our incredibly valuable hospital and access to quality healthcare found within our community. It can not be overstated that we are fortunate to have a hospital and healthcare system of the size and caliber of UNC Health Pardee in our community." Read more here: https://bit.ly/44vDWDj

They are a crucial part of our healthcare, and this is their week. Be sure to thank a nurse this #NursesWeek! WLOS ABC 13 shared the stories and inspiration of nurses, including UNC Health Pardee's Chasity Wehunt, RN, SANE, who said: “It’s nice to see people come in, probably at some of the worst times that they’ve been through, to get stable and able to get back to their normal life." Thank you to nurses for your unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and comfort to those in need.

Our nurses are the backbone of Pardee as they are most often the first and last touchpoint for patients throughout their time in our care. Whether a young new grad, a seasoned professional, or someone who entered the field as a second career, Pardee’s team of nurses is committed to advocating for and providing evidence-based quality care to their patients.
