What do you do if you want to leave a lasting impact as a creative professional in your late career?
Think about your leadership legacy. How you treat yourself is what others will remember and possibly emulate. If you work endless hours, are a demanding perfectionist, prioritize your work over loved ones and never get enough deep sleep, wholesome food and exercise, and you lack emotional support and spiritual resources then that is your legacy. Being one who cares for themselves long term is an indicator that you are committed to your own growth and makes your legacy one that uplifts and inspires others to care for themselves. Ultimately this is a legacy we all profit from, both interpersonally and economically.

How can you help a coachee overcome confirmation bias?
Fire yourself --mentally. Go through the visualization of being fired because of your bias and imagine yourself addressing this issue. Begin by writing down answers to the following questions: What can you do? Who can you enlist? How has this handicapped you specifically? What means and methods might you pursue to learn and grow from those mistakes? Then do a mental inventory to see if you should re- hire yourself and if so, go back with fresh eyes and an open mind. If not, maybe reevaluate your values and current position and see if you should make some larger changes!

How do you overcome cognitive overload and groupthink in critical thinking?
Here is what I have found when dealing with groups suffering from cognitive overload: take frequent breaks, "chunk" the material into small, focused bites, and take time to have fun! Stopping to play a silly game keeps the team together and keeps the impetus going and the connection growing. Observing one another playing a game can be eye-opening, and practicing ways to talk about the behaviors a simple game may reveal further reinforces communication and authenticity in the group. And, having fun playing a game can just be--- FUN! Yep, having fun at work really deepens the work and paves the way towards acceptance and inclusion, which counterbalances groupthink.

How do you cope with the changing demands and expectations of learners and employers in the digital age?
Besides "front end" learning, consider exit data: talk to clients and/or learners who have been in your training. Look for commonalities in their feedback and use it to inform your decisions. Even more importantly, no matter what the content, look for appropriate and inclusive ways to create an engaging presentation. People learn best by doing-- and best of all when they are having fun. Just because the content may be dry, that is no excuse not to "zhuzh it up" and increase engagement and receptivity!
